Your privacy is very important to us, which is why we make sure you are always in control of what we do with your personal information.

What Personal Data we Collect and Why

We will only use your personal data when the law permits us. Galway Traveller Movement collects details provided by you for the purposes of our programmes, awareness campaigns and publications to support the Traveller Community in Galway and Ireland. Information may include:

  • Personal and contact details you give Galway Traveller Movement when subscribing to receive general information;

We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our websites. There is no fee for this service and in line with GDPR we will respond to you within one calendar month of receipt of the request. You will be required to provide legal proof of your identify and address (for eg. passport or drivers license and utility bill).

You have the right to object to the processing of your data and Galway Traveller Movement will respect that right but may need to continue to process your data where processing is necessary for the performance of a contract or for compliance with a legal obligation to which the Galway Traveller Movement as data controller is subject.
