Our Story - Who We Are
Influencing Social Change through Collective Action
GTM is committed to the promotion of equality, the prevention of discrimination and the protection of the human rights of members of the Traveller Community at local regional and national levels.
GTM works from a community development approach, and our work to address disadvantage, poverty and the social exclusion experienced by the Traveller Community is underpinned by a commitment to participation, empowerment and collective action.
GTM's work has always been rooted in an understanding of, and respect for, the distinct culture and ethnic identity of the Traveller community. It is important that the official recognition of Traveller ethnicity is translated into tangible improvements in the situation and experience of the Traveller community.
